Our team of radiologists and medical staff utilize the latest tools in identifying medical conditions from broken bones to heart disease. Our Diagnostic Imaging staff provides patients with a comfortable and private experience during examinations.
Diagnostic Imaging Services at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center provides the following inpatient and outpatient services:
- Computed Tomography (CT)
- Digital X-Ray
- Interventional Radiology – New Interventional Radiology/Special Procedures Suite
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) – New GE Optima MR450w 1.5T Magnet
- Nuclear Medicine - New Discovery NM-630
Outpatient Services provided at our Medical Office Building (located behind main hospital):
- Digital Mammography
Hours of Operation
Main Hospital: Monday – Friday from 7:00am to 5:00pm
Medical Office Building: Monday – Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm
Mammography appointments are available until 6:30pm on Tuesday and Thursday.
CT appointments are available until 6:30pm, Monday through Friday.
Ultrasound appointments are available Monday through Friday until 7:00pm and on Saturday from 9:00am to 1:30pm.
All appointments scheduled after 5:00pm on Monday through Friday as well as Saturday appointments will register through the main Emergency Room registration area.

Highest Quality Care
Fort Walton Beach Medical Center is currently accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) in the following areas: CT, MRI, ultrasound, PET and mammography. The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting ACR Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. Image quality, personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures, and quality assurance programs are assessed. The findings are reported to the ACR Committee on Accreditation, which subsequently provides the practice with a comprehensive report they can use for continuous practice improvement.
